Purchase of book
September 21 / 2017
Stage: a) investigation
Today I searched for a book about the human brain to deepen my research a little bit more, I found one with the name ''Brain, the complete mind, how it develops, how it works, and how to keep it sharp'' written by Michael S. Sweeney and published by National Geographic, my mother bought it to me via amazon and it is expected to arrive by next week.
I hope this book provides me with relevant information on the brain that I will be able to use for my project, and after all, consulting different sources is important to properly carry out a complete research.

Mind map

Stage: a) investigation
I have written in this mind map what I consider are important things I have to take into account if I want my book to be successful, ideas I have to fully understand and answer in order to properly teach people about it. Like in my last project, the most relevant stage is investigation, due to the fact that my final product will be based on the information I obtain during this current stage.
Second meeting with the supervisor
September 18 / 2017
Stage: a) investigation
Today was my second meeting with Lizbeth (my supervisor), I told her about my change in plans and what my objective is now. She advised me to create interactive games students can use to learn about the human brain instead of writing a book. She also gave me a week to catch up on every task about my new theme I have not done.
After taking into account her advice, I have decided not to create games about the brain but to write a book, due to the fact that I enjoy writing much more and I believe I can write the book in a way in which it will be interesting for people as well as easy to understand.

Change in theme
September 10 / 2017
I have evaluated and taken the decision to change the theme of my personal project, it will no longer be about gout and it´s cure but about the human brain and the way it works.
This decision was taken because after the research I did on gout disease, I slowly began to lose interest in it, before beginning my research I used to think it was more complex and interesting than it turned out to be, it was just very simple and boring, the cure on the other hand would be more complex to create than I expected it to be. In order to be able to develop the cure I would have to receive the assistance of multiple chemists, something I do not have access to, as well as materials such as uric acid crystals to perform experiments on, something nearly impossible for a person with limited experience and knowledge like me to obtain.
My new theme and objective are much more realistic, and in my eyes much more interesting, I also have more connections in the area of neuroscience due to personal situations.

First meeting with the supervisor
August 30 / 2017
Stage: a) investigation
Today I had my first meeting with Lizbeth (my supervisor), we spoke about what my objective was, what I wanted to accomplish and how I planned on accomplishing it. She asked me to improve my work plan due to he fact that it was incomplete and to produce it in the format of a chart. As for my objective and OPVL chart she asked me to email it to her as soon as possible for her to check it. I learned charts in the personal project are more useful than ordinary long paragraphs, due to the fact that it is easier and quicker to check the information present.

OPVL chart
August 28 / 2017
Stage: a) investigation
At first, I analyzed my sources in the format of a very big paragraph due to the fact that I felt it would have a better organization that way, however, I was asked by my supervisor to do it in the form of a chart as shown below, so the big paragraph I had I converted into this charts.

Stage: a) investigation
I have written in this mind map what I consider are important concepts and ideas to take into consideration if I want to achieve my goal. The most important part of my project is research, due to the fact that I have to learn as many things as possible about the disease, I will look in the direction on multiple sources, such as web pages, videos, interviews with specialists and people who suffer from the disease.
